The Jury Room, located in downtown Columbus,  is known for its creative food ensembles and haunted history. Featured on Travel Channel’s ” The Dead Files”, it was highlighted as the center for haunted downtown Columbus. Aside from seeing ghosts though, you also have a great menu full of unique dishes to choose from.

Some of the highlights of the appetizers include the Deep Fried Green Olives stuffed with blue cheese (if you love olives, definitely a must-try), the Spaghetti Alfredo Fritters, and the Butternut Squash Bruschetta, just to name a few of my personal favorites!

During happy hour, you can get any appetizer for half off, which is definitely a plus for dining!

Now, the regular dining menu offers some interesting twists on some normal favorites. The Jury Room came out with a new menu for 2013, which features new additions such as the Grilled Mac N Cheese Brisket sandwich (which is just mouthwatering good) and my absolutely favorite Fried Chicken Sandwich.

Aside from having great food, the restaurant has brunch starting at 11am on weekends. If you’re around the area and looking for a great brunch spot, the Jury Room’s B.E.L.T
(Bacon, eggs, arugula, & tomato with spicy aioli on whole wheat) will not let you down, I can assure you!

Now, one thing I have to definitely suggest if you’re eating at the Jury Room is to substitute chips and regular fries for the truffle fries. I am a truffle fanatic, so if you like that truffle filled taste and a little piece of European infusion, the truffle fries are a no-brainer.

Atmosphere: The eclectic interior, and dimmed lighting, provides a true feeling of nostalgia from the restaurant’s history over the years. It has an outdoor patio for nice days and for those who want to watch the hustle and bustle of the downtown courthouse area.

Overall:
The service is great, the food is great, and the location is great. A little pricey for a lunch, but still worth a go around!
